Appointment Policy

To enable our office to achieve our goal to give every patient the very best possible treatment, a well-planned schedule is vital. Careful planning benefits everyone. When appointments are made, an appropriate amount of time is set aside for each procedure. That is why it is very important for you to be on time for your appointment.

The schedule is carefully crafted and late arrivals can pose problems. Please allow extra time that it may take for leaving school or work to prevent delays that may occur. In fairness to other scheduled patients, if you are late, we cannot try to “jam” you into the schedule, but will reschedule you. Adequate time is needed for each patient because everyone has different procedures to be performed. That is why scheduling becomes very important.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please give at least 24 hours notice. This will give us the opportunity to offer that time to another patient. A “BROKEN” appointment is one, which no prior notice is given the office that the appointment will not be kept. There will be a $15.00 charge for broken appointments. Two consecutively missed appointments, while in retention, indicates that it is your desire to terminate the retention phase of treatment. It is the patient’s responsibility to reschedule any missed appointments.

After school appointments are favored by most students, parents, and teachers. The limited number of these appointments must be shared. Some procedures require longer appointments than those available after school and must be scheduled earlier in the day.

Each day, we have reserved time for emergencies. When an emergency occurs, please call the office as soon as possible. We will assist you in arranging a time to come in.

Our appointment policy is developed to ensure that our patients receive the very best care possible, without lengthy waiting room delays or rushed procedures. We appreciate your confidence and cooperation.
